One keystroke brings back anything you've copied, including the words inside your screenshots.
PRO
Ctrl+Shift+V opens the panel over whatever you're working in. Arrow keys, enter, done.
Screenshots are saved and read on-device, so the text inside them is searchable too.
Your history lives in a database on your own machine. Nothing syncs anywhere.
Templates, signatures, addresses and brand values go into folders and subfolders, pinned where you can grab them and exempt from the history cap, so nothing you file ever expires.
Thanks so much for taking the time today.
Just circling back on invoice #4471. Let me know if there's anything…

Win+Shift+S, PrintScreen, the Snipping Tool: however you grab it, the image lands in a history of its own beside your clips. Windows reads the text inside it on your machine, so a picture becomes findable by what it says.
Captures group by day with pinned ones on top. Click one to paste it straight back out, or open it full size.
Text extraction runs through Windows' own OCR engine. No image is uploaded and nothing costs us anything to run, which is why it's on the free plan rather than behind Pro.
Type “invoice 4471” and the capture comes back. Or lift the text out of the image and paste it as words.
A clipboard manager sees everything you copy. So your history lives in a local database on your own PC, with no cloud copy, no backup on our side and no sync. Pro's AI features are the one exception: they send the text they need to run, and we store none of it.
Every Pro plan starts with a 7-day free trial. A card is required to start it, and nothing is charged until it ends.
Everything local, forever.

Everything in Free, plus:
No. It idles in the background listening for clipboard changes and does nothing until you copy something or press the hotkey.
In a local database on your own machine, and on the free plan nothing ever leaves it. Pro's AI features are the exception: an AI transform sends the item you run it on, a custom AI filter sends your 500 most recent items so it can pick the matches, and switching on Smart search sends your history to be indexed. All of it goes to our AI providers, Anthropic and Voyage AI. We record how many tokens each request used, for cost tracking; the text itself is never stored on our side.
They are blurred until you click to reveal them. FatClipboard flags anything that looks like a secret: a recognised key format from a provider like OpenAI, Anthropic, Stripe, GitHub, AWS, Slack or Google, a JWT, a PEM private key, or just a long random-looking string such as an access token or a wallet address. A flagged clip is also kept out of every AI feature, so it is never sent for an AI transform, never handed to a custom AI filter and never indexed by Smart search, whether the blur is switched on or off. It is pattern matching rather than a guarantee, so it can miss an unusual format or occasionally flag a long licence key that is not secret. The blur can be turned off in Settings; the AI exclusion cannot.
Yes. Windows shows that for any installer that hasn't been through paid code signing, whatever the app does. It isn't a judgement about this one. Click “More info”, then “Run anyway”. The download comes straight from our GitHub releases page, so you can see exactly which build you're getting.
Yes, a free account with an email and password. It carries your plan across devices. Your history stays local either way.
No. Every machine keeps its own local database, and nothing is copied between them. That's the trade for your clipboard never leaving your PC. Your account carries your plan, so Pro works on each machine you sign in on; the clips themselves don't follow you.
If you don't cancel, your plan starts. Cancel during the trial and you're charged nothing and drop back to free. Your history then follows the free cap again, so unpinned clips past the newest 50 or older than 7 days are trimmed. Anything you pinned or filed into a folder is kept.
Yes, from the billing page in your account settings. It's a couple of clicks, self-serve, with no email to send, no phone call and no cancellation fee. When the subscription ends the account drops back to free, under the same cap as any other free account.
No. FatClipboard is Windows only. It's built on Windows' own clipboard and OCR APIs, which is what keeps screenshot text extraction on your machine and free to run.
